On arrival in Delhi/ Chandigarh reach at boarding place of Volvo prior to reporting time.

A blissful road trip to Manali

 

Day 1:     Welcome to Manali – Breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains. | Manali Sightseeing

Manali

      • On arrival pick up from Bus stand and transfer to Hotel, check-in the Hotel. After freshen up and take rest for some time, get ready to visit visit Hadimba Devi Temple- an ancient temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi wife of Bhim (Pandava Brother)from the epic of Mahabharat, Manu Temple, Tibetan Monastery, Vashishth Village, Club House and Van Vihar. Rest day free to leisure activities where one can stroll and shopping at the Mall road and local market of Manali.
      • Overnight Stay at the Hotel in Manali.

 

Day 2:     Manali / Kaza via Atal Tunnel and Kunzum Pass (approx 185 Km and take 6-7 hours)

Kaza

      • After breakfast Check-out from Hotel, proceed to Kaza in the Spiti Valley. While moving towards kaza first cross the Atal Tunnel (built under Rohtang Pass) which is the longest tunnel above 10000 ft in the world, at a length of 9 km. Spend some time after cross the tunnel, and go ahead towards Kunzum Pass (at approx 14930 ft) then Kaza. During travelling tourists will get to see the stunning beauty of Spiti Valley.
      • On arrival Check-in the Hotel / Guest House and rest. Rest of the day is at Leisure.
      • Overnight Stay at the Hotel/Guest House in Kaza.

 

Day 3:     Kaza / Key Monastery / Kibber (approx 24 Km and take 1 hour)

Kaza

      • After breakfast, proceed to Key Monastery which is 14 km from Kaza. Key Monastery, also known as the kye Gompa or ki and kee Monastery, is located on top of the hill at an altitude of 13668 ft above sea level, and close to the Spiti River. It is biggest centre of Buddhist learning for Lamas in Spiti Valley.
      • Then visit Kibber Village which is 7 km further ahead. Kibber (at 14200 ft) is the highest inhabited village in India. Afterward visit Chicham Bridge which is the highest bridge in Asia and connects Chicham village and Kibber Village. Later return to Hotel/Guest House and rest.
      • Overnight Stay at the Hotel/Guest House in Kaza.

 

Day 4:     Kaza / Pin Valley / Tabo (approx 120 Km and take 4-5 hours)

Pin Valley & Tabo

      • After breakfast Check-out from Hotel/ Guest House; proceed to Pin Valley- the land of Snow Leopards and Ibex, and visit Kungri Monastery then the beautiful hamlet of Mudh (last village in Pin Valley).
      • Then proceed to Tabo –“The Ajanta of Himalayas”. On arrival Check-in Hotel/Guest House, freshen up and get ready to visit 1000 years-old Tabo Chos-Khor Monastery which was founded by the Rinchen Zangpo in 996 CE. The Monastery is a UNESCO world heritage site and has priceless collections of Buddhist scroll paintings, exquisite statues in stuccos, manuscripts, frescos, and murals depict tales from the Buddhist pantheon.
      • Overnight Stay at the Hotel/Guest House in Tabo.

 

Day 5:      Option I  

Tabo / Dhankar / Lhallung / Kaza (approx 75 Km and take 2 hours, 30 minutes)  

Dhankar & Lallung

      • After breakfast Check-out from Hotel/ Guest House, proceed to Dhankar (traditional Capital of the Spiti Valley Kingdom) for visiting Dhankar Monastery which is situated at altitude of 12774 ft. It was built as Fort and was the seat of the early rulers of Spiti –The Nanos. The monastery is built on a 1000 ft cliff, which overlooking the confluence of the Spiti and Pin Rivers. It is one of the world's spectacular architecture. If time permit, an hour’s hike to stunning turquoise Dhankar Lake.
      • Afterward proceed to Lhalung or Lalung - another village of Spiti Valley, which is situated at altitude of 12000 ft. The word Lhalung means “Land of the Gods” and it is said that the Lhalung Devta (God) is the head of all the Devtas (Gods) of the valley and come up from the Tangmar Mountain beyond the village. Supposedly, the Tangram mountain change colour depending on the moods of the Devtas or Deities; Red denotes anger, yellow denotes happiness, etc. Here visit Lhalung Monastery, also known as Sarkhang or Golden Temple.
      • Later proceed to Kaza. On arrival Check-in the Hotel/Giest House and rest.
      • Overnight Stay at the Hotel/Guest House in Kaza.

 

         Option II

Tabo / Dhankar / Komic & Hikkim / Langza (approx 95 Km and take 4 hours)  

Dhankar, Komic, Hikkim & Langza

      • After breakfast Check-out from Hotel/ Guest House, proceed to Dhankar (traditional Capital of the Spiti Valley Kingdom) for visiting Dhankar Monastery which is situated at altitude of 12774 ft.       • Afterwards proceed to Komic - the highest village in Asia with motorable road, which is situated at altitude of 15050 ft. The word Komic means “Eye of Snow Cock”. Here visit Komic Monastery.
      • Then proceed to Hikkim for visiting the highest post office in the world and send out some postcards.
      • Then proceed to Langza which is situated at altitude of 14500 ft. Langza village is surrounded by snow-clad mountains and barren landscape and is blessed with buildings of the prehistoric era. Here visit Buddha Statue overlooking mountain ranges and walk into the village.
      • Overnight Stay at local Homestay with a local family in Langza and see their life at this high altitude.

Note: - Choose any one option for Day 5.

 

Day 6:     Kaza (for Option I) / Langza ((for Option I) / Chandratal (approx 100-120 Km and take 3-4 hours)

Chandratal

      • After breakfast Check-out from Hotel/ Guest House, proceed to mystical Chandratal Lake or Moon Lake which is situated at altitude of 14100 ft. It derives its name from the crescent shape and the colour of water of this lake keeps changing from from muddy green to aquamarine blue to sea green depending on the sun's position.
      • On arrival Check-in the Camp and then enjoy the scenic view of the lake. Spend evening at campsite where will get Bonfire and enjoy the view gaze of a million stars and the Milky way Galaxy.
      • Overnight Stay at the Campsite in Chandratal.

 

Day 7:     Chandratal / Manali (approx 166 km and take 4-5 hours) then Delhi / Chandigarh

Departure

      • After breakfast check-out from the campsite and proceed to Manali. At appropriate time transfer to Manali Bus Stand to board Volvo Bus to reach home destination with lovely memories to cherish.
