Day 1: Katra Railway Station , Or
Jammu Airport / Jammu Railway Station, transfer to Katra which is of approximately 48 km, takes 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Welcome to Katra - basepoint to visit Holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi. Transfer to the Hotel in Katra
Katra
- On arrival check-in the Hotel. After freshen up and some rest, get ready to collect tourist yatra slips from Katra Main Chowk enroute, and start the journey for the Darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi by walk or by pony or by palki. Devotees can also opt Helicopter service (Advance booking is required). The holy shrine is situated at approximately 5200 ft in Trikuta hills at a distance of about 13 km. Journey by walk or pony will take devotees through holy places like Banganga, Charan Paduka, Aradh Kuwari and Himkoti. After darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi, move towards the Bhairo Baba Temple. The total distance of the trek is 29 km including Bhairo Baba Temple.
Day 2: Day is at Leisure
Katra
- Arrival from Vaishno Devi. Return to the Hotel in Katra and rest.
- In the evening stroll at Katra Market and shop for dry fruits, craft, etc.
- Overnight stay at the Hotel in Katra.
Day 3: Katra Patnitop (Approx 85 km, takes 2 hour and 30 minutes) |Patnitop Sightseeing
Patnitop
- After breakfast at the Hotel, proceed to Patnitop which is known as “Mini Kashmir” to explore Nathatop, Naag Temple and enjoy Nature walks. Later return to Katra at the hotel and rest.
- Overnight stay at the Hotel in Katra.
Day 4: Katra Amritsar | Wagah – Attari Border (approx 260 km and takes 5-6 hours)
Amritsar
- Early morning after breakfast, check-out from the Hotel and drive to Amritsar known for the Golden Temple (Harmandar Sahib). On arrival in Amritsar in the afternoon and check-in the Hotel. After freshening up, get ready to proceed to watch the India-Pakistan parade and lower the flag ceremony at Wagah - Attari Border. Later, return to the Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
- Overnight stay at the Hotel in Amritsar.
(Note: Reach the border at least 1 hour prior to the ceremony to get a seat.)
Day 5: Amritsar Sightseeing | Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport /Amritsar Junction Railway Station .
Amritsar Departure
- Early morning visit Golden Temple (also known as Harmandar Sahib) - holiest shrine for the Sikh religion and have a holy meal at Guru Ka Langar. Thereafter proceed to visit Jalliawala Bagh- which was the most infamous massacre under British Raj and Partition Museum (Closed on Monday).
- Later in the afternoon check-out from the Hotel and at appropriate time transfer to Airport or Railway Station to reach home destination with lovely memories to cherish.
